Q: What can I do to contribute to the Foundation?
A: Volunteering your time and/or donations is an excellent way to participate in the Foundation. Please click on Donate above to learn more.
Q: Where does my money go that is contributed?
A: Money that is donated goes to a variety of projects including student scholarships, teacher mini-grants and special projects. You can even specify what you would like your donation to go towards.
Q: Who is eligible for scholarships or assistance from the Foundation?
A: Students entering some sort of post-secondary schooling are eligible for Foundation scholarships. Each application is unique and contains specific requirements for each.
Q: Do I get recognized for my efforts in contributing to the Foundation?
A: Donors are recognized in a variety of ways of which include, but are not limited to, recognition on a Donor Level Wall located at the W-G Elementary and W-G High School, written recognition in a publication of the District Hawk Happenings newsletter, and/or on the back of select event programs. Should you wish to remain anonymous, just let us know.
Q: Is this foundation a nonprofit?
A: Yes. The Foundation is an exempt organization as described in section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code; EIN 42-1462187.
Q: Is my contribution tax deductible?
A: Yes! Receipts for tax purposes are distributed accordingly.
